Actuarial Services

Actuarial Services works with our clients to help them develop practical rating systems that accurately gauge risk and ensure profits. Other services include reserve analysis, pricing of stop-loss business, and the development of alternative products.

HRMP's actuarial services are also available on a fee-for-services basis to assist client companies with products not reinsured directly by any of the facilities.

Claims and Administration Services

Claims and Administration organizes and administers the stop-loss function and interfaces with other elements of HRMP as well as with client companies. Its primary function is the adjudication and payment of claims in a timely manner. HRMP claim personnel work closely with client companies to be sure that each claim is thoroughly reviewed. The department collects appropriate data from carriers and MGU's, and provides results for management and client companies. The department develops and implements procedural guidelines concerning claim practices, disseminates those guidelines to carriers and MGU's, and follows up to assure compliance.

Claims and Administration also conducts audits of MGU's and carriers' stop loss claims and reports findings to HRMP management as well as others. Claims personnel also communicate data requirements, claim practice guides, and audit results. Personnel respond positively to initiatives, facilitate information flow and establish appropriate practices.

Accounting Services

HRMP can provide accounting services for insurers, reinsurers, and MGUs. Services include premium collection, claim and expense payment, cash and underwriting statement and bordereau reporting, and 1099 preparation.
